StudioTools - offers computer aided industrial design products
Alias StudioTools offers a wide range of computer-aided industrial design products
beginning with DesignStudio, which is an entry-level conceptual design system.
Their intermediate-level is Studio, and their top of the line product is AutoStudio,
which contains all of the options. Tools for sketching, modeling, and visualization are combined all in one software
package, which meets the specialized requirements of designers such as sketching,
the freedom to experiment with shape and form, creating organic shapes, visualization
for design review, and data exchange with CAD packages. Because the product is sold as CAID instead of CAD, its tools and abilities are
more geared toward the "creative " aspect of designing. However, the
product does not go into mechanical detail anywhere near that of CAD programs such
as AutoCAD and Solidworks, however, StudioTools does offer more a powerful set of
tools for the creation of exactly sculpted curves and surfaces.
